Using and managing your ledger with the Mass File Uploader (MFU)

What is this Mass File Uploader all about?

The Mass File Uploader, (aka MFU), helps you streamline your bookkeeping. Instead of trying to keep track of numerous checks and invoices and hoping they get filed correctly, MFU lets you get, and stay, organized in a snap. The MFU is a feature in SkyLedger to help support the paperless office.

What is the use case for the MFU?

When invoices and checks arrive, simply scan them, and then upload them to SkyLedger. Once the files are uploaded – which only takes a few seconds – they can be quickly reviewed and organized at any time. The idea is you scan and upload invoices and checks throughout a period of time and then sit down just once to do your accounting. The bookkeeper can just flip through the MFU file queue and convert these scanned items into ledger items in the system.

Where do I find the MFU?

A button taking you into the MFU is located in the lower right hand corner of the dashboard.

What is up with these file warning when I upload files?

Like SkyLedger itself, the goal of MFU is to help you work more efficiently. For instance, you can upload an unlimited number of PDF or image files at one time. And if you try to upload a file that was already uploaded and deleted, the system alerts you – a built-in safeguard against having duplicate entries in your ledger.

This safeguard is just a warning you can ignore it and have multiple entries with the same file.
